What voice commands work with your Nest or Echo speakers?
You can operate almost every part of your Salt Lake City smart home with your favorite AI assistant. Monitor the condition of your smart devices, transfer to a preset mode, or tinker with the details of a setting with some user-friendly voice commands. Or tell your Echo or Nest device to arrange your entire security system just like with the Vivint mobile app.
Here are just a few commands you are able to assign to Google or Alexa:
-
“Arm my security system to away.”
-
“Latch the back door.”
-
“Turn off my kitchen light.”
-
“Did I leave the garage door open?”
-
"Record a clip of my indoor camera."
-
"Lower the heat 2 degrees."
-
“Turn off the kid’s room light in half an hour.”
You can also preset procedures in your Google Home or Alexa smartphone app that leverage many services. For example, say "Google, I'm leaving," and trigger your motion detectors, reduce the thermostat, and lock the doors. Or make a routine for "tv night" and use the command to power off the lights and set the temperature to just the right level.
